The OT Coupe Cup with Toyo Tires is one of the UK’s most action-packed and competitive club racing series, built around a simple philosophy: close racing, controlled costs and equal performance. Founded by Jon Winter in 2013, the series initially ran alongside the established MR2 Racing Series and Tricolore Trophy. As interest and grid numbers grew, the Coupe Cup took the next step in 2016, completing its first season as a standalone series across seven rounds.
The series originally catered for the first and second-generation Hyundai Coupe, but its evolution continued in 2019 when Jon Winter developed the Gen3 racer. The Gen3 achieved its first Coupe Cup race victory in 2021 with Shane Stoney behind the wheel and has remained a competitive force ever since. In 2022, Jon introduced the latest evolution of the Coupe Cup racer, the SIII.
