British F4 to race at Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix in 2027

The Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA will write another chapter in its illustrious history next year following confirmation that the series will compete at the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Belgian Grand Prix at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

In what is the latest milestone chapter in the incredible story of the UK’s premier single-seater series, British F4 will take centre stage at the legendary venue for the first time on the weekend of July 23-25, 2027.

Continuing to cement its status as the first step on the single-seater pathway, the event will mark the second time that Britain’s Formula 4 category has raced on the Formula 1 schedule - with the first coming at Silverstone back in 2025.

Unlike that occasion, the Belgian Grand Prix weekend will be a full championship-scoring event, with two races slated to be contested and track action taking place across the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Eve Lake-Grange, British F4 Championship Manager: “There is no bigger stage than Formula 1, so it is fantastic to be able to make yet more history with the Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA, and race in Belgium next year.

“Since our guest appearance at the British Grand Prix in 2025, we have been working hard behind the scenes to secure a return to the Formula 1 support bill. This time, there is the added emphasis of it being an official championship round, too, which is hugely exciting.

“We pride ourselves on being the first step on the pathway to Formula 1, and for our drivers to be able to see the potential career pathway ahead of them while competing on the same weekend is hugely important.

“While the dust is only just settling on this year’s season, the level of interest and excitement among teams and drivers has already been incredible. It promises to be an unforgettable event, and we’re looking forward to putting on a show at one of the world’s most iconic circuits.”
