History of Mini Challenge Clubsport
The MINI CHALLENGE Clubsport was launched in 2023 to give MINI racers a dedicated club-level route into competitive motorsport. Created by former MINI CHALLENGE racers Tom Halliwell and Rob Austin, the series was designed to bring together drivers who wanted close, affordable racing in a range of MINI models.
The inaugural season featured Cooper S, Open and Cooper Am classes, with cars competing together to create a large and competitive grid. Since then, Clubsport has continued to grow, welcoming new drivers and developing into an established part of the MINI racing family, with the series now racing exclusively alongside the British Truck Racing Championship at five events in 2026.
