The Classic Touring Car Racing Club has been championing historic saloon and touring car racing since 1974, but the arrival of the Super Tourer Series in 2022 brought an entirely different generation of competition machinery into the fold.
The series was created to give genuine cars from one of touring car racing's most celebrated periods somewhere to compete once again. Since then, machinery including the Volvo S40, Nissan Primera, Vauxhall Vectra, Ford Mondeo, Honda Accord and Renault Laguna has helped recreate the sights and atmosphere of the original era.
Importantly, these aren't simply demonstration cars. They're prepared to race, allowing spectators to once again experience the speed and spectacle that made Super Touring such an unforgettable chapter of motorsport history.
