Tickets on sale for prestigious BARC Championship Awards Evening in February

Champions, marshals and officials are set to be honoured at the British Automobile Racing Club’s annual Championship Awards Evening on Saturday 8th February 2020, with the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth confirmed to once again host the prestigious event.

Celebrating the 2019 season in fine style, race suits and overalls will be swapped for black ties and ball gowns as the great and good of UK motorsport come together for what should be another unforgettable night.

Whilst those who emerged victorious from their respective categories over the course of the season will take centre stage, several other ‘secret’ awards will be handed out during the evening as well – adding further excitement to the spectacle.

Hosted by Alan Hyde, the star-studded evening is set to include a three-course dinner and raffle in addition to the customary trophy presentation. Entertainment will come in the shape of popular cover band ‘The Torn Off Strips’.

BARC signs off 2019 season in spectacular style at Brands Hatch

The British Automobile Racing Club set pulses racing for one final time in 2019 this past weekend (November 9/10) as it brought the curtain down on a memorable year of track action at Brands Hatch, with several championships taking centre centre.

In what has been another action-packed season of top-draw motorsport from the Club’s categories, the famous Kent venue provided a fitting backdrop to end a pulsating campaign which began back in March.

Going wheel-to-wheel into the night, the Dunlop Endurance Championship had fans on the captivated from start-to-finish as a bumper grid of eye-catching cars went wheel-to-wheel around the challenging Indy circuit.

On its eagerly-anticipated debut, the Brabham B62 was a success straight out of the blocks as David Brabham and Will Powell stormed to victory in the opening encounter of the weekend. Mechanical issues would unfortunately cost them a chance of repeating the feat in race two.

Instead, spoils fell the way of Mike Moss and Ollie Hancock in their BMW 1M – the pair exerting their dominance to lap almost the entire field and take the chequered flag by more than 30 seconds in the end.

James Taylor took a clean sweep of victories to be crowned the Ginetta Junior Winters Series champion. Heading an ultra-competitive entry list of teenage racers, Taylor asserted his dominance across both days to lift the coveted title.

Powering his way to pole position on Saturday, the Elite Motorsport driver tallied a pair of race wins to hold the overnight lead in the points. On Sunday, two more wins were added to his record, guaranteeing him the highly sought after crown.

There were similar levels of dominance in the Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup too as Wayne Rockett was perfection personified, taking a brace of wins. Having won ten of the 12 races that had been staged heading into the weekend, Rockett lived up to his mantel of being the driver to beat.

Setting an impressive time during qualifying, the multiple race-winner cemented his status as the most successful driver in the series for 2019 with a pair of spellbinding performances.

The Distrigo Parts Distribution Citroen C1 Challenge delivered two hours of enthralling action on Sunday, culminating in the MSAR Old Hat Motorsport duo of Daniel Bruce and Callum Hutchings taking victory by little over nine seconds.

Niall Bradley and Rod Birley were the winners of the weekend’s two CMMC Tin Tops & Amusetime Production Saloons races whilst Colin Peacock rounded the list of race winners, claiming a sensational hat-trick in the Dunlop Mini Se7en & Mini Miglia Championship.

BARC to bring the curtain down on 2019 season at Brands Hatch

The British Automobile Racing Club is set to race into the night and into the off-season at Brands Hatch this weekend (November 9/10) as the famous Kent venue plays host to the final race meeting of 2019.

In what has been another blockbuster year for the Club – which has seen countless events at circuits around the country – the curtain will fall on the 2019 campaign in what is being predicted to be enthralling style.

Taking centre stage with two long-distance races around the Indy layout will be the Dunlop Endurance Championship. With the overall title still to be settled, the Ferrari 488 Challenge duo of Paul Bailey and Andy Schulz find themselves in the pound seat and on the cusp of the glory.

However, before they can savour the spoils of a season-long title challenge, the pair will have to fend off the advances of the chasing pack across two enthralling encounters that will continue into darkness.

Following what has been a historic year, the Distrigo Parts Distribution Citroen C1 Challenge will draw to a close for another year with a bumper entry list revved up for its two-hour finale.

After setting a new British record at Silverstone for the largest-ever starting grid back in April, the popular one-make series has proven to be a smash-hit once again – with more excitement destined to play out over the course of the weekend.

Wayne Rockett has been the cream of the crop in the Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup this year, winning ten of the 12 scheduled races so far, and he is looking to add two more to his tally during the weekend.

Enjoying another action-packed year, an ultra-competitive grid has gone wheel-to-wheel from the get-go and expect a host of drivers to challenge Rockett all the way to the final lap of the season.

Ginetta will end its season on a high with its Junior Winter Series; the annual end-of-season spectacular that has become renowned as a proving ground for the stars of the following season.

With the last seven Winter Series champions having gone on to finish in the top two in the main championship the next year, the competition is fierce and this year’s entry list boasts a host of potential winners.

Amongst those to look out for include James Taylor, Josh Rattican, Joel Pearson, Bailey Voisin, Aston Millar and Ben Kasperczak – in addition to a host of others.

Rounding out the weekend’s on-track entertainment will be races from the Dunlop Winter Mini Challenge supported by Mini Spares and a string of Open Tin Top encounters.

Action-packed Anglesey race day sets pulses racing

The Caterham Graduates Championship and Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup continued to head towards the climax of their respective 2019 campaigns this past Saturday (September 7) as the British Automobile Racing Club starred at Anglesey.

On what proved to be a scintillating day of on-track action around the picturesque Welsh venue, an exciting six-race schedule kept fans captivated from start-to-finish – with both categories taking centre stage.

Samuel Wilson extended his advantage in the Caterham Graduates Championship SigMax class as he powered his way to a brace of victories.

Starting from pole position in both encounters, Wilson converted his front row start into a pair of commanding performances – leading from lights-to-flag with relative ease whilst Stephen Clark and Jamie Winrow followed behind.

The amalgamated Classic / Mega / Sigma races saw a double-winning performance from Luke Balmforth, who like Wilson produced a near-perfect display to reigns supreme.

Barry White enjoyed a competitive showing as he clinched a pair of podium finishes whilst Andrew Johnson and Mark Roberts also travelled home with silverware.

Bringing a close to the day’s action was two races from the Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup where Wayne Rockett and Mark Dicken emerged as the leading lights.

Having been the benchmark driver for a majority of the season, Rockett added yet another victory to his already impressive tally in race two, making him the most successful driver in the series for 2019.

Before Rockett clinched victory, Dicken made his mark on the one-make series as he swept his way to his first win of the season.

Caterham Graduates and Hyundai Coupe Cup set to headline Anglesey race day

The picturesque delights of North Wales and Anglesey Circuit awaits the British Automobile Racing Club this Saturday (September 7) as the Caterham Graduates Championship and Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup continue their 2019 campaigns.

Originally set to include the ever-entertaining Distrigo Parts Distribution Citroen C1 Series, the first of two action-packed race days from the Club at the venue this month is likely to set pulses racing for those in attendance.

With six events in the books already, the Caterham Graduates Championship descends on Anglesey for what will be the penultimate event of the season – and with it all to play for in the battle for class title supremacy.

In the Classic class, Robin Webb’s seven wins have powered him to the top of the standings, however the chasing pack of Trevor Harber, Mark Carter, Peter Tattersall and Robert Appleton are all within striking distance and ready to pounce at any time.

Luke Balmforth holds a slender five point lead in the Sigma 150 category but missing the past two events has allowed Chris Dear and Barry White to close the gap. Meanwhile, just six points cover the top three in the Mega class and one little mistake from either Kevin Barrett, Neil Sturgess or Kim Rayment could open the door for the other two contenders to take advantage.

Capping off the weekend’s action will be another two blockbuster performances from the Sigmax class, which is currently led by Stephen Clark. Pairing consistency with his three race wins so far, Clark leads Samuel Wilson and it will be this battle at the standings summit that will be watched with baited breath.

A total of four Caterham Graduates Championship races will be played out around the 1.55-mile circuit and not one of them should be missed.

All eyes meanwhile will be on Wayne Rockett in the Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup as he bids to continue his rich vein of form and add another two race wins to his already impressive tally.

Having become a regular front-runner last year, Rockett has been the driver to beat for much of the season so far, wracking up a number of victories

Alex Cursley, Nick Moore, Kevin Smiles, James Goodwin and Mark Dicken are just a handful of drivers that will be bidding to overhaul Rockett during the day’s racing; all of them more than capable of scaling the top step of the podium on any given day.

Pete Sparrow crowned champion as 2CV Championship stars at Snetterton

The 2CV Parts.com Classic Racing Championship brought the curtain down on its 2019 campaign in sensational style at Snetterton this past weekend (August 16/17/18) as Pete Sparrow was crowned champion for the second year in succession at the Liqui Moly 24-hour season finale.

Taking centre stage at the Norfolk venue following another vintage year of on-track action at some of the UK’s top circuits, the iconic one-make series marked its 30th anniversary with a pulsating race.

Following a staggering 758 laps being completed, the European entry of BNLL 2 recorded a memorable victory as they ran out winners following 24 gruelling hours of racing. Having started the race on the outside of the front row, the outfit powered their way past stablemates BNLL 1 and cantered to victory by four laps at the chequered flag.

Team Gadget Racing proved to be the best of the British contingent as Tom Perry, Lien Davies, Simon Clarke and Ainslie Bousfield teamed up to finish fourth overall.

Sparrow, who was part of 2CV Team Lion 1, held his nerve to finish seventh overall and crucially ahead of title protagonist Nick Crispin – gifting him a second title in as many years.

There was plenty of action during the weekend’s two Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup races too as Wayne Rockett once again exerted his dominance in the single-make series. Having been the form driver so far this year, Rockett continued his rich vein of form with another unstoppable performance as he romped to a brace of victories.

Spoils were shared in the weekend’s two Uncle Luke’s BARC Saloon Series races, which showcased a wide variety of tin top machinery. Mark De Ath triumphed in the opening encounter in his Subaru Impreza before Steve Rothery reigned supreme in his Peugeot 308 later in the day.

Rounding out the weekend’s British Automobile Racing Club entertainment were two races from the KW Automotive Classic VW Cup and TDi North Honda VTEC Challenge, which had amalgamated together once again.

Luke Schlewitz emerged as the driver to beat across the weekend’s two race as he piloted his Honda Civic to victory in both encounters, by more than 40 seconds in each too.

2CV Championship to headline Snetterton weekend with 24-hour title showdown race

The destiny of the 2CV Parts.com Classic Racing Championship will be decided at Snetterton this weekend (August 16/17/18) with reigning champion Pete Sparrow and Nick Crispin set for a final showdown to see who will lift the coveted title for 2019.

In what is the 29th edition of the much-loved event, the Liqui Moly 2CV 24-Hour race will bring the curtain down on what has been another vintage year of on-track action for the iconic category.

This year in particular has been one of celebration for the championship with 2019 seeing the 100th anniversary of Citroen, the 70th anniversary of the 2CV and the 30th anniversary since the inaugural 2CV race taking place.

Touring the UK – stopping off at Silverstone, Cadwell Park, Mallory Park and Brands Hatch along the way – the destiny of the title has boiled down to just two drivers.

Entering the year donning the mantel of defending champion, Sparrow has proven himself to be a tour-de-force. Scoring five wins, including braces at the first two events, Sparrow heads to East Anglia with a 66-point advantage over Crispin and on the cusp of becoming a back-to-back champion.

Whilst Sparrow has visited the top step of the podium, Crispin is yet to do so as it stands. Putting together an ultra-competitive run of results, the lead protagonist has tallied the points as the year has progressed – placing him within touching distance heading into the finale.

Brian Heerey, Lien Davies, Alec Graham, David O’Keefe and Tom Perry have all scored victories at one stage during the season and they too will be one’s to watch as they bid to triumph one more time before the season is out.

The 2CV Parts.com Classic Racing Championship may be the headline act over the course of the weekend in Norfolk but there will be plenty more British Automobile Racing Club action taking place as well.

Fans of all things tin tops will be well-catered for virtue of the Uncle Luke’s BARC Saloon Series, KW Automotive Classic VW Cup and the TDi North Honda VTEC Challenge, all of which will duke it out for the latest honours around the 2.97-mile circuit.

Further thrills and spills are expected to come in the shape of the Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup. Having enjoyed bumper grids throughout the year already, the popular one-make series is set to write another illustrious chapter in its history with two more pulsating encounters.

Thruxton serves up scorching weekend of BARC championship action

The British Automobile Racing Club served up a scorching two days of racing around the fastest circuit in the UK, Thruxton, this past weekend (June 29/30) as a host of championships took centre stage in Hampshire.

Basking in the searing sun, spectators that lined the bankings across both days were treated to a feast of entertainment as temperatures continued to rise both on and off the track.

Headlining the weekend were no less than seven races from the MV Commercial BTRA Championship, all of which delivered exhilarating thrills and spills.

Division 1 of the heavyweight behemoths saw Ryan Smith serve up a perfect performance as he clinched pole position and then all four race wins. David Jenkins was to be Smith’s closest challenger but the former champion could do nothing to stop the MAN driver.

Luke Garrett came close to doing the same in Division 2 as he secured a hat-trick of race wins around the high-speed venue. Clinching pole position, Garrett won the opener and then a further two races on Sunday, with Steve Powell the only driver able to knock him off the top step of the podium.

Having thrown up plenty of unpredictability leading into the event, the Pickup Truck Racing Championship continued to deliver a nail-biting battle towards the sharp end of the grid – with Mark Willis and Michael Smith sharing the spoils.

The Luna Logistics Classic Formula Ford 1600 Championship produced a spectacular pair of races, rolling back the years in emphatic style. Tim Harvey enjoyed a near perfect weekend around the ultra-fast venue to take the lead in the overall standings.

Triumphing in the opening encounter, the former BTCC champion narrowly missed out on a second win by 0.187 as Rick Morris bounced back from a frustrating race one to round out the weekend on the top step of the podium.

There was plenty of drama in the Mighty Minis Championship as those in attendance were treated to a raft of slipstreaming thrills and spills. Just 0.024 separated Stuart Coombs and Greg Jenkins in race one, with Coombs getting the better of his rival to score a hard-earned win.

Jenkins would strike back in the second race of the weekend as he fended off a swarm of challengers to narrowly pip Neven Kirkpatrick to the chequered flag.

Elsewhere, the BARC Clubmans Sports Prototype Championship in association with King Henry’s Taverns provided plenty of entertainment with Clive Wood in dominant mood as he swept his way to a hard-earned hat-trick of wins.

In the Kumho BMW Championship, Garrie Whittaker continued his winning streak with a dominant performance, extending his unbeaten run in 2019 as well. Arriving as the man to beat in the single manufacturer category, the E36 M3 driver exerted his status as the man to beat by scoring wins in both races by more than 30 seconds.

Rounding out the weekend’s action at Thruxton was a pair of races from the Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup. Wayne Rockett recorded his fifth win on the bounce in the opener but saw his winning streak come an end later in the day as Nick Moore struck to notch his first win of the year.

Thruxton revved up for blockbuster BARC race weekend

The home of the British Automobile Racing Club, Thruxton Circuit, will play host to a blockbuster two days of track action this weekend (June 29/30) as the MV Commercial BTRA Championship descends on Hampshire with a bumper supporting cast.

In what is one of the highlights of the season for the fastest track in the UK, a total of seven championships will go wheel-to-wheel around the much-loved venue as they each write the latest chapter in their 2019 campaigns.

Headlining the weekend’s action will be no less than seven races from the MV Commercial BTRA Championship. Weighing in at more than five tonnes and producing in excess of 1000bhp, the heavyweight behemoths have delivered all-out action so far this year, and it’s only set to continue.

Division 1 currently sees three-time champion Ryan Smith in control of the points after making a flying start to the year. Aiming to become a four-time title winner, Smith has a wave of momentum behind him however fierce rival David Jenkins will be keen to halt his progress and close the gap.

Luke Garrett meanwhile has taken on the role of defending champion in Division 2 with relative ease, leading the way in the points after two events. Notching four wins so far, Garrett will be one to watch as he bids to extend his advantage over the chasing pack – made up of Paul Rivett, Steve Powell, Brad Smith and more.

Whilst Division 1 and Division 2 will compete in three races each, the fourth and final encounter will see both grids combine – bringing the curtain down on the weekend in sensational style.

The Pickup Truck Racing Championship has kicked off the year in ultra-competitive fashion with six different winners from the first seven races. George Turiccki leads the pack into the weekend’s two races however staying there may prove difficult, with the competition being as fierce as it is.

Dale Gent, David O’Regan, Reece Jones, Paul Tompkins and Michael Smith are the other victors so far and any one of them could top the podium over the course of the two days.

Slipstreaming will be on full display in the Mighty Minis Championship as a bumper entry list of the iconic car duke it out for supremacy. Renowned for producing edge-of-the-seat thrills, both the Mighty Mini and Super Mighty Mini classes will be in attendance for a pair of thrilling races.

Notable names to keep an eye on over the course of the event include Alex Comis, Owen Edgley and Neven Kirkpatrick, amongst many more.

Speaking of cars from a bygone era, fans of single seaters will be well catered for in the shape of the Luna Logistics Classic Formula Ford 1600 Championship. Rick Morris and Tim Harvey have emerged as the form men early on, the pair separated by just a point, however a whole host of contenders could come to the fore and challenge their status. 

Open-wheeled action will also be served up in the shape of the BARC Clubmans Sports Prototype Championship in association with King Henry’s Taverns. Unique in every manner, the championship has packed grid and delivers non-stop entertainment, with the likes of Peter Richings, Barry Webb and Pippa Tanner-Wood just some of the stars of the show.

Tin top thrills will come in the shape of the Kumho BMW Championship, where Garrie Whittaker will be aiming to extend his winning streak. Showcasing some of the most awe-inspiring models from the Bavarian brand, the Kumho BMW contingent have become a haven for doorhandle-to-doorhandle thrills and spills, with Thruxton set to be no different.

Rounding out the weekend’s action will be a pair of races from the Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup. Continuing to grow in stature as each year passes, the Coupe Cup contingent have raised the bar each year and the 2019 crop of racers are in demand by fans.

Wayne Rockett has won every race run so far and you’d not bet against him from being amongst the front-runners, alongside Alex Cursley and Nick Moore, either.

2CV’s and Hyundai Coupe Cup star at Mallory Park

The British Automobile Racing Club served up a pulsating day of track action at Mallory Park this past Bank Holiday Monday (May 27), with two categories taking centre stage.

Spoils were shared in the 2CV Parts.com Classic Racing Championship as three different drivers topped the podium over the course of the day, underlining the competitiveness of the iconic one-make series.

Staging a triple-header as it moves ever-closer to its finale, the 2CV contingent saw David O’Keeffe come to the fore first as he beat reigning champion Pete Sparrow and Tom Perry.

O’Keeffe nearly made it two-from-two in the second encounter had it not been for Brian Heerey. Capping off the day’s action was an exhilarating third race, won by Perry who backed up his race one podium performance with a first win of the year.

Wayne Rockett continued his stellar start to the season in the Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup as he notched a pair of race wins around the challenging Leicestershire venue.

Having been the man to beat at the Brands Hatch season-opener in April, Rockett maintained his unbeaten start to 2019 with another virtuoso performance. Narrowly pipping Alex Cursley to pole position in qualifying, Rockett found himself embroiled in a day-long duel with Cursely.

The pair proved to be inseparable in the opening encounter as they made their escape from the chasing pack to power into the distance. More than ten seconds clear of Nick Moore in third place, Rockett and Cursely went back-and-forth for outright honours, with less than a second covering them at the flag.

Riding high off of his third win in succession, Rockett added another triumph in race two of the day as he once again dominated proceedings to lead Cursely and Moore across the line.

Alongside the day’s BARC action were races from the MGCC Lackford Engineering MG Midget & Sprite Challenge.

Mallory Park gearing up for Bank Holiday Monday BARC race day

The British Automobile Racing Club pays its first visit of the year to Mallory Park this coming Bank Holiday Monday (May 27) with the 2CV Parts.com Classic Racing Championship and Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup both in action.

Visiting the Leicestershire venue on three occasions during the course of the 2019 campaign, the unique challengers thrown up by the circuit is set to make it a day to remember on-track for the BARC’s duo of categories.

Mallory Park marks the halfway point in the 2CV Parts.com Classic Racing Championship season and the battle for supremacy is set to intensify even further in the race for the title across a trio of races.

Several drivers find themselves in the mix for the grand prize but reigning champion Pete Sparrow is the man to beat heading into the event, topping the standings comfortably. Chalking up four wins from five races already, Sparrow has taken on the mantel of defending champion with ease and will be a hard man to stop.

Lien Davies and Simon Clarke, both of whom are tied on points for second place, lead the chase to Sparrow however they won’t be the only drivers to keep an eye on – with the likes of Nick Crispin, Brian Heerey, Nick Clarke and more all likely to be in contention as well.

Two races from the Carbon8 Hyundai Coupe Cup will likely come to the fore and be the stars of the show on Monday, with a bumper entry list confirmed for the

Billed as a budget conscious, single-make category for Hyundai Coupe machines, the series has continued to rise through the ranks in recent years – with 2019 shaping up to be its strongest yet.

Brands Hatch provided the backdrop for the new season over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend and it was Wayne Rockett that set his stall out as the early pace-setter. Winning both races around the Indy circuit, Rockett reigned supreme and will be looking to extend his winning streak further.

Alex Cursely, Nick Moore, Kevin Smiles, James Goodwin and Zac Hughes were all competitive last time out and could well be topping the rostrum too.

BARC delivers scorching Brands Hatch bank holiday blockbuster

The British Automobile Racing Club put on an Easter extravaganza at Brands Hatch this past weekend (April 20/21/22) as eight championships basked in the bank holiday sun to produce three days of unmissable action.

Topping the bill were eight dramatic race, four for Division 1 and four for Division 2, from the MV Commercial BTRA Championship. Kicking off another season of edge-of-the-seat entertainment, the heavyweight behemoths served up a string of spellbinding performances. 

In Division 1, reigning champion Ryan Smith began the defence of his title in style as he picked up a pair of victories whilst Stuart Oliver and David Jenkins also triumphed.

There was a similar theme in Division 2 as well with reigning champion Luke Garrett making an equally flying start as he too picked up a pair of wins. Eric Forsstrom and Steve Powell left the Kent circuit with a win apiece as well whilst Paul Rivett made his mark by scoring a hat-trick of podium finishes.

Celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2019, the Legends Cars National Championship with MRF Tyres was back and better than ever. Renowned for close-quarter racing, the 5/8 scale championship wowed crowds from start-to-finish with a host of photo finishes.

Connor Mills prevailed as the most successful driver around the 1.2 mile circuit as he bagged three wins whilst the trio of Sy Harraway, Jack Parker and James Hall-Morton, upon which was his maiden victory in the series, shared the remaining spoils.

The Pickup Truck Racing Championship is set to be wide open this year with five different drivers filling the podium across the weekend’s two races. With the void of double champion Scott Bourne needing to be filled, Michael Smith came to the fore in the curtain-raiser to beat George Turiccki and David O’Regan.

O’Regan would move up the order in the second race as he produced a scintillating performance to score victory ahead of Dale Gent and Paul Jones.

Malcolm Blackman wrote his name into the history books as the first winner in the BARC Super Silhouette Championship, which is now being run by SHP Promotions. A stalwart of the spaceframe formula, Blackman delivered a stunning lap in qualifying to bag pole position and then backed it up with victory in race one.

The former champion made it two from two later in the day but was made to work for it as he came under extreme pressure from Chris Brockhurst in the closing laps.

Wayne Rockett was at his brilliant best as a new season of the Carbon 8 Hyundai Coupe Cup got underway, notching two commanding race wins as Alex Cursley, Kevin Smiles and Nick Moore all rounded out the rostrum across the two respective races.

Saturday saw a Classic Touring Car Championship takeover with several races from its multiple classes. Mike Luck and Stephen Primett were the victors in the Pre ’83 Touring Car Championship whilst Richard Wood dominated the combined Classic Thunder & Blue Oval encounters.

Jonathan Lewis emerged as the driver to beat in the Pre ’66 Touring Car Championship, winning both races, as the amalgamated Pre ’93, Pre ’03 & Pre ’05 spoils fell the way of Don Hughes and AJ Owen.

The BARC Clubmans Sports Prototype Championship in association with King Henry’s Taverns saw Clive Wood kick off his campaign on the right as he stormed to a trio of pole positions, and then backed it up with a pair of race wins.

Dominating proceeding’s in races one and two, Wood had looked to be a sure bet to complete a clean sweep in race three however a mechanical issue when trying to leave the pit lane put an end to that dream before the race had even begun. Taking advantage of a vacant pole position spot, Peter Richings brought the curtain down on the weekend with victory.

Capping off the bank holiday weekend’s racing at the Kent circuit was a pair of races from the BARC Tin Tops Championship. Guest driver Steve Rothery piloted his Peugeot 308 to the top of the time-sheets in qualifying and then onto victory twice later on Saturday afternoon.
