Organisers of the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE have confirmed that cars competing in the JCW and JCW Sport classes will run on sustainable fuel this season.

Off the back of successful tests that were held across the 2024 campaign, Sunoco’s RFM E25 – a 25% ethanol-based fuel – will become the control fuel for the popular one-make series that resides on the support bill of the British Touring Car Championship.

Last year sae the introduction of a special development car that competed as a guest entry in the JCW Sport category. Driven by the likes of Hannah Chapman and Harvey Riby, the car tested the new fuel.

Whilst the new fuel will be mandatory across the top two MINI CHALLENGE classes, cars competing in the Cooper category will continue to race on the same CMR Plus fuel also provided by Sunoco.
