The Adrian Flux Insurance MG Owners Club Championship is gearing up for what is set to be its 45th season in association with the British Automobile Racing Club.
Retaining its long established format for production based Classic and Modern MG’s including the MG Midget, MGB, MG Maestro, MGF and MG ZR160, the multi-class series will embark on a six-round campaign this year which boasts no less than 13 races.
Continuing its association with Adrian Flux Insurance, the championship is set to also benefit from additional support of long-time competitor Martin Wills’s Vision Vehicles company.
The support of Vision Vehicles has allowed the championship to offer an innovative plan to support competitors, with any driver who enters the first five race meetings of the 2025 season getting a free entry for the finale.
Entry fees for each of the scheduled six meetings are fixed at £470. For any driver who enters the first five meetings and thus gets a free entry for the final meeting the costs per meeting is effectively reduced to just £392.
Championship Driver Representative, Jim Baynam, said: “The MGOC Championship has a hardcore of long standing and loyal drivers who continue to support the championship with several second and third generation’s now joining us.
“Rising costs present all Club championships with financial challenges but our stable format and limited modifications go a long way to controlling costs and keeping us going into our 45th year.
“The signs are positive and we all look forward to another safe, satisfying and successful season.”
