Caterham Seven Championship UK

The Caterham Seven Championship UK is the top of the tree on the Caterham ladder ,and one of the most prestigious national racing series in the UK. Organised in conjunction with the British Automobile Racing Club, the championship offers one of the most competitive and exhilarating competitions going, and to keep the playing field level, every car on the grid is identical, providing pretty much out-of-the-box close competition.

The top thoroughbred from the Caterham marque sees a 180bhp two-litre Caterham Motorsport tuned engine shoe-horned into the small and agile machine. Paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox and  bespoke racing chassis it produces phenomenal power-to-weight ratio and an experience like no other on track.

The Caterham Seven Championship UK features six rounds in England and Wales, and an overseas event in the Netherlands at Zandvoort. The Brands Hatch round at the start of the season will be extra special, as the Caterhams share the billing with the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship on the BARC TOCA package with the Catherham drivers doing battle under the spotlight of the ITV4 television cameras.

The action on track consists of 21 races across the season – with races 20 minutes in length, with 25 points now for a race win, with points descending to one point for every finisher. What makes the Seven championship different is the SuperPole format for the top 10 qualifying cars – with additional points on offer for the top three placing cars.

Family, friends and motorsport fans will be able to watch all the action from the BARC organised race weekends LIVE on our YouTube channel – www.youtube.com/@britishautomobileracingclub with the Caterham Seven Championship UK series kicking off its calendar on the 12th April at Snetterton.
