Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA

The Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA is one of the first steps from karting and onto the car racing ladder. For aspiring young drivers aged 15 and over making the transition into single seaters – this is the place to be!

The identical Tatuus chassis and Abarth engines produce a level playing field for the stars of tomorrow. Close racing, challenging race calendar featuring some of the best circuits in the UK – the Championship has been a breeding ground for talented young drivers who have climbed the ranks and are now driving in the higher echelons of the sport.

British F4 alumni from recent seasons include current Formula 1 stars Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and Jack Doohan, IndyCar winner Colten Herta and F2 drivers Alex Dunne and Luke Browning to name but a few.

Organised and promoted by Motorsport UK, the governing body for four-wheel motorsport in the United Kingdom, the series is certified by the FIA meaning that 12 Super Licence points will be awarded to the overall champion to aid their progression through the single seater ranks.

In 2025, eight teams will battle for supremacy – to put their drivers on the top step. Over 20 drivers will take to the grid from 10 different countries and all of them will all be aiming to add their names into the illustrious history books. Drivers to look out for this year include 2024 OK World Karting Champion Ethan Jeff-Hall, Australian F4 Champion James Pszcyk, 2024 Rookie Class victor Martin Molnár and McLaren development driver and F1 Academy star Ella Lloyd.

Taking place across nine weekends, a total of 30 races are run during the season with the grid all vying for supremacy – and wheel-to-wheel action is guaranteed as the title battle traditionally goes down to the final few rounds.

Motorsport fans will be able to watch all the action from the Wera Tools F4 British Championship race weekends LIVE on ITV4 and ITVX – with a comprehensive day of racing coverage on Sundays as the series supports the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.

Heroes of FF1600 Sprint Cup

One of the latest series to join the British Automobile Racing Club roster is the Heroes of FF1600 Sprint Cup. Formed in 2024, this single-seater championship is the growing home to the legendary Formula Ford cars of yesteryear, which has made the careers of so many motorsporting stars.

The cars feature no aero wings, skinny, narrow tyres and 1600cc engines. This creates the perfect blend for plenty of frantic, skittish wheel-to-wheel racing as it was back in the eighties and nineties.

The championship is a real summer series as it begins in May at the home of British motorsport – Silverstone before a fast and furious middle meeting at Thruxton during the Retro weekend, before culminating at Donington Park in August for the finale.

Family, friends and motorsport fans will be able to watch all the action from the BARC organised race weekends LIVE on our YouTube channel – www.youtube.com/@britishautomobileracingclub with the FF1600 series kicking off its calendar on the 17th May at Silverstone.
