British Truck Racing Championship

The monsters are coming – the behemoths of British motorsport are ready to take over race circuits around the country with six UK rounds and one overseas venture to Le Mans bringing together an awe inspiring show.

The British Truck Racing Championship run in conjunction with the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) is one of the biggest categories in the UK, with machines weighing in at more than five tonnes and producing in excess of 1000bhp – the truck racing championship is like no other. It has to be seen to be believed!

Truck Racing hit British shores in 1984 and captured the imagination of racing enthusiasts – and with the likes of motorcycle heroes Barry Sheene and Steve Parrish successfully turning their hand to trucks – the series snowballed in spectacle and popularity.

The 2025 series begins at Brands Hatch before a whistle-stop tour of BARC-owned Pembrey and Thruxton circuits before the mid-season summer break. Donington – the venue for the first ever truck race in the UK restarts the second half, before hauling out eastward for Snetterton at the end of summer. Then it’s the cross channel drive to Le Mans in France for a truckin’ festival – supporting the 24 hour ‘Camion’ race at the end of September. It all comes down to Brands Hatch in November on bonfire weekend with the spectacular racing and fireworks display bringing down the curtain on the 2025 season.

Representing some of the biggest hauling manufacturers from around the world, the championship has for a long time been split into two classes; delivering exhilarating thrills and spills in equal measure.

Division 1 is home to the most advanced machines that have bespoke water-cooled braking and suspension systems whilst Division 2 has closer links to more production-based machines; both delivering fast-paced heart-stopping moments throughout the year.

The 2025 season for the Trucks kicks-off at Brands Hatch in Kent on the 19th/20th April.

Family, friends and motorsport fans will be able to watch all the action from the BARC race weekends LIVE on our YouTube channel – with a comprehensive day of racing coverage planned.  www.youtube.com/@britishautomobileracingclub
