Providing the perfect stepping stone up the tin-top ladder, the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE Trophy Championship in association with the British Automobile Racing Club is the perfect place to graduate from the Junior Saloon Car Championship or even kick start your motorsport career.

Boasting capacity grids and producing ultra-competitive racing, the Trophy Championship uses an older generation MINI Cooper that produces 130bhp and runs on Goodyear racing tyres. 

The car suits a variety of racers, from drivers new to motorsport, or those stepping up from junior tin-tops, have some karting experience, or those who just want ultra-close, fair racing on a high-profile stage with modest budgets.

Coming off the back of aligning itself with the BARC in 2022, the one-make series can be found making appearances on the support bill of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship as well as several prestigious national race meetings.

The championship shares the billing with the BTCC on three race weekends at Brands Hatch, Thruxton and Donington while events at Snetterton, Croft and Silverstone will make up an action-packed schedule for the teams and drivers. It will all come down to the firework finale at Brands Hatch where the superminis will share the billing with TCR UK and the British Truck Racing Championship. 

Supporting the entry level Trophy series is the top of the tree category in the form of the 265bhp JCW class as well as the halfway house 225bhp JCW Sport Class.

Motorsport fans will be able to watch all the action from the Vertu Mini Challenge Trophy race weekends LIVE on ITV4 and ITVX when the rounds share the billing with the British Touring Car Championship or through the BARC YouTube channel – with comprehensive racing coverage planned on both platforms.
