The Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 Supercup is set to enter a new era in 2022 with the Ginetta G56 set to be introduced into the championship.
Following in the footsteps of the current Ginetta G55 GT4 model, which has served the series since its launch in 2011, the G56’s will run to the exact same specification to those that compete in the British GT Championship this season.
More information – including a full specification breakdown – on the car can be found here.
The GT4 Supercup will continue its successful Pro and Am class format for 2022, which will give drivers of all experience levels the opportunity to race the G56. There will also be a third category for entrants wishing to compete in the existing G55 GT4 model.
Lawrence Tomlinson, Ginetta Chairman, said:“Following the introduction of the G56 model to the British GT Championship and Ginetta GT Academy this season, it was a natural progression for the new car to be incorporated into the Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup.
“The G56 has already proven itself to be a leading contender in GT competition and it will be great asset to the GT4 SuperCup. It’s an exciting new chapter for the championship, and further cements its status as an ideal stepping stone for aspiring career GT and prototype drivers.
“Drivers can learn the ropes in the GT4 SuperCup before progressing into GT racing in the exact same car, while teams have the opportunity to run a G56 in the GT4 SuperCup and other championships without the need for changing the car spec.”
