Celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2018, the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship will boast an entry list which is at maximum capacity of 32 cars.
With an entry deadline set for November 30th, BTCC Series Organiser, TOCA, has confirmed that all TOCA BTCC Licences (TBLs) have been allocated for next year.
Teams are required to be in possession of a TBL for each car entered every year. Of the 32 TBLs available, 30 are held by the teams whilst two are permanently held by TOCA - and have been issued to a team for 2018.
Whilst the entry list if at capacity, the identity of those who will be competing will become clearer in the coming weeks and months, with a raft of announcements set to be made - all adding to the excitement.
The BTCC will kick off its milestone year at Brands Hatch in early April before travelling the length and breadth of the UK before brining the curtain down and crowing a champion back at the Kent circuit in October.
As part of the BTCC's celebrations, a special 'Diamond Double' race will be staged at Snetterton. As opposed to the traditional race three structure, all cars will run without success ballast and over 60 miles, with double points on offer.
