The British Automobile Racing Club descends on Rockingham this weekend (1/2 July) for a bumper two days of track action which will see two different track configurations being used.
Marking the halfway point in the season for a number of championships, this visit to the Corby circuit could prove to be a pivotal one in relation to the outcome of who will emerge as champion come the end of the year.
Tackling the infamous Oval circuit at average speeds of more than 100mph, the Pickup Truck Racing Championship battle continues to rage on. Sitting at the helm of the standings is Scott Bourne however Mark Willis and Lea Wood are both chasing him down.
Willis finds himself in control of the Oval points table virtue of his front-running consistency at previous visits earlier in the year and will be keen to extend his advantage.
The Michelin Clio Cup Series is back in action too with Ben Palmer and Anton Spires set to continue their intriguing tussle for supremacy. The pair have shared the wins so far this season and look set to duke it out once again for the two victories up for grabs.
An influx of new drivers have joined the race class too meaning the battle for the top step will be as wide open as ever, with Nic Harrison currently sitting as the points leader.
After enjoying a best-ever entry list of more than 20 cars at Thruxton, the Hyundai Coupe Cup is in action too with another bumper grid. The one-make, low-cost series has proved to be a smash hit and this weekend should be no different.
Nostalgic thrills ’n’ spills will be provided by the Lancaster Insurance MG Owners Club Championship whilst the BARC South East Intermarque Championship will also hit the track.
Track Attack will cap off the frenetic entertainment with racing over both days; action coming from the Nippon/ Tricolore/ Multi-Marques and the MR2 Classic Race Series.
