The MSA British Rallycross Championship has confirmed that Toyo Tires will become title sponsors, starting this forthcoming season, after inking a three-year deal.
Ahead of the opening round which is held at Croft Circuit on March 19, the championship is looking to build on a stellar 2016 which saw bumper grid numbers as well as the youngest ever champion crowned.
In-keeping with the sport marking its 50th anniversary in 2017, the MSA British Rallycross Championship is looking to scale new heights across the nine events that will be staged this year.
Kenta Kuribayashi, Toyo Tires Europe GmbH President, said: “Toyo Tires are extremely pleased to become the title sponsor of the 2017 MSA British Rallycross Championship.
“Toyo Tires will be supporting the growth of this dramatic motorsport format for the next three years having signed a contract until the end of 2019. The excitement and accessibility of the sport make rallycross the perfect partner for Toyo Tires.”
MSA British Rallycross Championship Manager, Tim Whittington, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Toyo Tires to the MSA British Rallycross Championship. It’s enthusiasm for rallycross is great to see and I look forward to working closely together over the next three years.
“The championship was stronger than it had been for some time in 2016 and we’re hopeful of continuing an upward trend this season. We’re all looking forward to the opening round of the championship at Croft Circuit next month.”
