The British Automobile Racing Club enjoyed a successful four days at the Autosport Show International as the 2017 motorsport season breathed into life at the NEC Arena in Birmingham.
Packed full of the great and the good of the motorsport industry, tens of thousands of enthusiasts descended on the Midlands for the four-day extravaganza – where the stars and the cars took centre stage.
Once again the BARC was located in the National Motorsport section with a diverse range of machinery making up the stand.
Cars from the Renault UK Clio Cup, Classic Touring Car Championship, Citroen C1 Series, Pickup Truck Racing and the Hyundai Coupe Cup all adorned the display and consistently drew in a crowd – underlining the popularity of club level motorsport.
Commenting on the success of the show, BARC General Manager Ian Watson said: “The Autosport Show is always the traditional starting point for a new season and this year was no different.
“We had lots of drivers, teams, co-ordinators and fans around the stand constantly and had a great response from everyone over the four days. It seems to have put us in an even better position for the forthcoming year.”
The 2018 Autosport Show International has already confirmed that it will take place on the 11-14 January.
